well, it's located at the following location:

~/Library/Application Support

~/Library/Containers


For example,
the unsaved file for textwrangler is located at

~/Library/Application Support/TextWrangler/Auto-Save Recovery

the unsaved file for text edit is located at

~/Library/Containers/com.apple.TextEdit/Data/Library/Autosave Information
